How We Got Here
Leading into 2021, Barry (Founder) was deeply embedded in Silicon Valley’s startup ecosystem for nearly a decade. During this time, he started collaborating with remote workers based in India. Barry played a key role in hiring and managing these remote teams, forming lasting relationships and gaining unique insights on how to build and lead effective remote workforces.
In 2022, with the launch of his venture capital fund, Barry began helping portfolio companies build their own hybrid teams. Drawing on his experience, he supported startups in creating lean structures with core teams based in the US and additional talent
from the Philippines and India. This led to huge cost savings while still growing - critical for startups operating in a tight funding environment.
Barry then expanding his focus on founding Argon Labs, a boutique developer marketing agency. He once again leveraged his network and experience in building Argon labs with a hybrid workforce model, blending local expertise with remote talent
Building on years of this experience, Guild was launched in 2024 as a strategic staffing agency dedicated to helping high-growth startups and scale-up companies build their own remote workforce.
It’s the business we wished we could have used years ago to help better streamline and optimize the recruiting process - create efficient borderless teams that grow alongside their companies.

Where does your talent come from?
We primarily source vetted skilled talent from the Philippines, Vietnam and LatAm – we do this to create diversity across timezones for our clients. All candidates are English proficient in written and spoken communication.
Who are your engagements with?
We work with a variety of partners across small-to-mid market companies, from Sydney to San Francisco, London, NYC, Singapore and many other cities. We usually engage directly with founders, executives, and department leads who are in charge of the hiring process.
How do I know your candidate can get the job done?
Our strict vetting process ensures we filter only those who are aligned with the role and the culture. We conduct an extensive interview to evaluate their skills and their previous experience.
Do you charge any upfront fees?
Nope. You only pay when you make that hire!
How do I pay my candidates?
The great thing is that you pay directly through Guild. We take care of payroll so you don’t have to.
Do you offer any guarantees?
We provide a 3-month replacement guarantee.
What roles can I apply for as a candidate?
We hire for key roles that move the needle for a business – the primary areas cover a variety of positions across engineering, finance, marketing and admin.
How much do I actually save?
Every region and role will be different, but on average, you can expect to save up to 80% on labor costs.
Can’t I just hire from UpWork or other freelancing platforms?
Yes you can. But we value quality over quantity and finding a great candidate who is perfectly aligned with the skills and the culture is like finding a needle in a haystack.
Do you manage the candidate?
Yes we do. We take care of sourcing, vetting, payroll and compliance of the candidate to save time, money and precious resources from the business. We know how challenging it can be to find, hire and manage remote talent. We do the heavy lifting for you.
